Code of Conduct - Parents

Parents:

1. Encourage participation but do not force them
   
   
2. Teach children that honest effort is the victory, not the winning
   
   
3. Encourage your children to always play by the rules
   
   
4. Never ridicule or yell at a player for making a mistake or losing a game
   
   
5. Remember that involvement is for your children’s enjoyment, not yours
   
   
6. Remember that children learn best by the example set by you
   
   
7. Acknowledge and applaud good play by both teams
   
   
8. Recognise positively the recreational contribution of voluntary officials
   
   
9. Never publicly disagree with officials. Raise any issues you may have privately
   
   
10. Support all efforts to remove verbal, racial and physical abuse
    
    
11. Support your club officials to foster high standards of behaviour for your club/league
    
    
12. Get involved as much as possible with your child through the course of the season
    
    
13. Your personal participation as an official on the day will go a long way in making the experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone
